Used as part of the hinge of a Lift-Off Hinge Cover box.  The JIC Lift- Off Hinge is designed to be welded to the body of the box in alignment with the formed lip of the cover. The Lift-Off Hinge engages the formed lip and holds the cover scure in the closed position. When the cover is raised, the Lift-Off Hinge disengages and the cover can be removed.
