The Compression Spring Catch can be used for various enclosure sealing applications where the cover and box are aligned in a manner to achieve an over center camming action with the catch.
The Compression Spring Catch is designed to allow adjustment of the sealing force by varying the spring tension from 30 lbs. to 70 lbs. The sealing force is determined by the location of the strike relative to the Catch (see chart below). The Catch and strike may be installed using rivets or screws or may be welded into position. The Catch is available in three designs: Padlockable, with the lifting lever curved upwards; Nonpadlockable with the lifting lever curved upwards; and Nonpadlockable with a flat lifting lever.
